Do I need to be home for the service?

No, but we encourage you to be home on the first meeting to discuss your needs prior to the service starting. Our cleaners provide a quality service when they completely understand your requirements and how to use your equipment. We know that the initial meeting is a crucial process in getting it right from the start and will help make both you and your cleaner happy. If you are not going to be home during your house cleaning, you will need to arrange access to your home with your cleaner. Additionally, our cleaners will give you an initial call before your service to say hi and discuss your requirements.

Do I need to provide equipment?

Yes. Health and safety are our biggest priority, therefore, we do not provide equipment for our services, to ensure your clean is not cross contaminated from previous homes.

Do I need to provide products?

We provide all of the products with each service. If you would like to have some of your own they are available to order.

How do I order the products?

How do I pay for the service?

By cash or internet bank transfer at the end of each service. All of these transactions are paid directly to your cleaner, not to Eco My Home.

Can I give the cleaner a key?

Yes. A lot of our Clients are not at home when their cleaner comes and therefore prefer to give the Cleaner a key to make it super easy!

Do I get the same cleaner each time?

Yes, you will be allocated the same cleaner each week or fortnight. If your cleaner is sick or on holidays, we will do our best to allocate you a replacement.

Are cleaners trained?

Yes! Regardless of experience, cleaners are trained in house to ensure a consistent approach to cleaning and an understanding of natural alternatives. Our cleaners are also chosen to be passionate about environmental and health issues.

How often can I have a service?

You can request our services on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Can I change my cleaner if I am not happy?

Of course! A replacement can be arranged for you.

What if I need to change the day/time of the service?

Contact us or phone the cleaner. We do ask that you advise us at least 48 hours before you next scheduled clean to ensure we can arrange the change or find you a replacement if the new schedule does not fit your current cleaners roster.

What if something is damaged during the clean?

Cleaners registered with Eco My Home are covered by Public Liability Insurance. This means that you, along with any person other than the Cleaner, are protected from damage or injury caused by a Cleaner’s negligence. Public Liability Insurance is extremely important for both our Clients and Cleaners and is one of the most important reasons for using our Agency. If you experience property damage during a service, we will discuss with you further steps to rectify the situation and will require evidence for any insurance claims.

What’s included in the clean?

Every home is different and no client the same. This is why we work very close with our clients to understand their individual needs. We provide you with a Welcome Pack that has detailed information about our general services and also any extras you’d like to include.
For a basic 2 hour clean (1 bath, 3 bed home) you can expect:
  • Scrub Bath and Shower
  • Scrub Sink and Taps (Scum/mould removal) Wipedown Vanity
  • Toilet
  • Polish Shower screen
  • Polish Mirrors
  • Empty Bins
  • Stove­top clean and shine
  • Splashbacks clean and shine
  • Benches wiped down
  • Sink wiped down
  • Bins emptied and lid wiped
  • Cupboard front quick wipe (major food marks)
  • Appliances wiped down
  • General tidy (bedside tables/clothes)
  • Dust/wipedown bedside tables
  • Clean sliding mirrors (if any)
  • General Tidy (paper/magazines/household items/toys)
  • Dusting and wipe down main surfaces
  • Polish glass dining/coffee tables
  • Vacuum carpets and floors Vacuum UNDER beds/tv cabinet
  • Vacuum BEHIND doors/toilet
  • Mop floors/bathrooms/kitchen
  • Mop all hard indoor areas
